Testing Across Brand Assets: From Packaging to Web Design
- Packaging mockup: Used on a tea box label, Januaryta looked elegant and handcrafted. I made sure the font size was large enough to maintain readability.
- Business card layout: As a name treatment on a minimalist card, it added a personal, boutique feel.
- Website header: At 48px on a hero section, it looked clean and stylish—especially with a light background and soft accent colors.
- Social media graphics: On Instagram quotes and announcement posts, Januaryta stood out beautifully. It felt authentic and not overly designed.
Font Pairing and Typographic Harmony
- Serif fonts: For a vintage-inspired brand board, I paired it with a soft serif like Playfair Display. The combination felt elegant and timeless.
- Sans serif fonts: In a modern logo system, using Januaryta for the brand name and a clean sans serif for the tagline created a fresh, contemporary look.
- Script fonts: While I wouldn’t pair it with another script as a rule, I did test it with a more structured calligraphy font for a wedding invitation layout—and it surprisingly worked, as long as they were clearly differentiated in size and weight.
